A one family owned original paint Southern California car since new. Purchased at Escobar Ford in El Segundo California in 1965 and used locally as the family car for the next 22 years. We purchased this car from the son of the original owner who bought it from his dad in 1986 and seldom drove it. This real GT is finished in the original Wimbledon White paint with a few signs of wear but surprisingly looks very good. Options include the GT appearance package which consist of the dual fog lights, special dash components, dual trombone exhaust exiting through the rear valence, lower red accent stripe, power convertible top, front disc brakes, power steering and chrome style steel wheels with brand new dual redline BFG radial tires for that period correct look. Other options include the Red deluxe Pony interior with bucket seats, center console with floor shifter, factory under dash A/C and AM radio. Under the hood sits a rebuilt A Code 289 V8 backed by a C4 Automatic transmission and a 3.00 ratio rear differential for easier long-distance cruises. This rare find even carries its original black 1965 license plates and is ready for the next family to enjoy for years to come.
